| When FedEx Isn't Fast Enough |
A Chinese factory was in jeopardy of missing a deadline for sample
delivery and thus losing a major account. A company representative
personally placed samples on a plane in Shanghai on a Friday afternoon.
He then boarded the same plane bound for Minneapolis. They both arrived
barely in time to make a 7:00 a.m. meeting Tuesday morning.
The result: The factory saved the account… at the cost of
last-minute international plane tickets, daily expenses, lost time for
a managerial staffer and enormous stress.
The Cytus alternative: With Cytus as an extension of the
factory’s US presence, the manufacturer would have had the assurance
that the goods would be met, inspected, delivered and managed exactly
the way their own personnel would handle them. “No worries” sample
management saves travel and lost time while maintaining high-quality
relationships overseas.
